The question was asked by @trishaham, member of our YATU forum. Thank you Trisha!

    Question:

“I am 68 years old and am getting ready to get married to a wonderful man whom I love very much. We have gone together for almost 7 years. I have been married before but it has been 35 years since my divorce. I can’t seem to get rid of the “fear” of getting married again.

If we make our own “reality” (as you talk about in your book) and my intention is to marry him, and want with all my heart to, then why can’t I just let go of the fear. I reflect, meditate and keep journal.

What advice do you have to help me conquer or overcome this fear?”

As always, I welcome your comments! Please keep sending in your questions, making sure you use @question in your text!

    Love,
    Deepak

    Dear Trisha:

The antidote to fear is Love. As love seems to be there for you and him, maybe expand that (human) love to embrace him, you and everybody else. Then fear will run away. Fear is afraid of Love.

    Here is a poem:

    I am afraid of this,
    I am afraid of that,
    I am afraid of myself,
    I am afraid of them
    I am afraid of this,
    I am afraid of that,
    But fear itself,
    is afraid of Love,
    And Love is That
    You Are That

    Blessings,

    Menas
