A slightly different angle to consider is the Hylozoistic Principle which states all matter is in some sense alive. Though it may be true a single brain cell could not live outside the body, it may also be true that a human could not survive without the oxygen found in the Earth’s atmosphere.
In You Are the Universe, the authors state, “your brain isn’t listening to the Beatles you are (197).” While the premise behind “you” -the individual consciousness of the indwelling entity – is the one listening is understood; may it also be said that the atoms which comprise the cells of the brain also embody consciousness and some form of conscious awareness?
Do cells, embodying the same conscious entity which is embodied in oneself, have latent individualization and experience their own universe – the body; thus, repeating a pattern in a lesser cycle, the human being is experiencing on a higher turn of the spiral?
In the evolutionary cycle, per the works of Alice Bailey, each atom is the individualization and development of the will aspect of deity, brought forth through active intelligent love. What do you think is the evolutionary outcome of the individual brain cell? Surely, as I evolve so does my brain…so does the Earth, and so does the Universe.
We work in cooperation with each other in a co-created universe. This includes all forms of beings, whether it is material atoms, human units, solar systems, or beyond…. Cooperation refers to the relationship between atoms, where one experiences the creative manifestation, unfoldment, and emerging consciousness, per a divine purpose and plan – even in terms of oneness, this is still available to us. In other words, we are in a relationship with our macro-self and our micro-self. The same self in differentiation. Oneness does not imply losing the individual identity of the atom, which is included, but the ability to work with the energies behind the forms of atoms (humans or systems), even in embryo, where a cycle of the same lesson is repeated throughout the Universe.
So, is the brain listening? In latent and perhaps laid back ways, I’d say my brain listens to and likes the Beatles, upon rare occasion.
Your thoughts are appreciated!
Love and light,
