Thank you Deepak. A very insightful answer. You are my spiritual teacher and I have learnt many things from you. And this video is a great learning in it self. I understood most of it, and I will watch it again and again until I grasp each and every word of it.

    Thanks again!

Thanks aurora for your reply! Yes, I am on a journey of discovering myself. My journey started about 13 years ago – when I first asked myself the question “who am I?”.

Over the 13 years, I came to know that I am nothing else but the universe. But that takes me to a further quest – what is the universe (since the answer to my question does not end here)? And learning from my spiritual teachers like Deepak, Amit Goswami, Menas and many others, I came to know that the universe is pure potentialities.

Potentialities is a thought construct – it a construct of consciousness.

But what consciousness are we speaking of, without any being? So there has to be a conscious “being”. And that conscious being is God.

A God that is formless and timeless. A God that has only one attribute – and that attribute is consciousness: we can call that consciousness universal consciousness or cosmic consciousness.

Yes, I have come a long long way in my journey – and there is a long long way to go. And the most thrilling part of it is that the journey never ends.

I have the book “You Are the Universe” in my hands right now and am thrilled to see what all new horizons it is taking me to, in my journey.

    With love and respect,
    Vikram

    @question
I am trying to understand the birth of the “universe”. Following happened that led to the birth of the universe –

    0. There is only universal conciousness
    1. Universal conciousness had infinite potentialities of concious thoughts
    2. Universal conciousness collapsed the potentialities into one concious thought
    3. The universal conciousness still existed and the concious thought still existed
    4. The concious thought again collapsed potentialities in the concious thought into another concious thought
    5. Both the concious thoughts multiplied, and the conciousness increased
    6. And thus started the evolution of consciousness until it reached human consciousness- and the human consciousness could sometimes reach the universal consciousness (by self introspective meditation)

@question: Is my line of thinking correct here?

    Thanks!

The universal conciousness collapses potentialities into an actuality. This is the same way as conciousness collapses potentiality of electron into an actual electron. It can collapse the potentialities into only one actuality. Similarly, the universal conciousness collapses the potentialities only into one actuality. It collapses it into an actuality of thought. Universal conciousness only contains potentiality of thought. Since conciousness only contains thoughts and not material things. It is thought that can contain material things.

@question: is my thinking on the correct lines here?

    Thanks!

    There was a typo above:
Universal conciousness collapses potentiality into actual thought. But the actual thought that it has collapsed, is also concious.

In the beginning of the universe, universal consciousness collapsed potentiality into an actual thought. And the rest of the collapsing of potential thoughts was solely done by the actual thought that the universal conciousness collapsed. Meaning that they were solely collapsed by the actual thought and other actual thoughts collapsed by previous actual thoughts.

@question: why didn’t the universal conciousness collapse more than one potential thought into an actual thought?

    Thanks!

Universal conciousness creates thoughts. But the thought it has created is itself conciousness.

@question: I firmly believe that my line of thinking is correct. Please let me know what do you think.

    Hi Krista,

Thank you very much for clearing my doubts.

Now I get the big picture of it. The universal conciousness collapsed the thoughts that were in potentiality and, an actual thought was born.

And that actual thought was the first thing in the universe. That thought had its own conciousness- which was a drop of the universal conciousness. And that actualized thought could only choose from the potentialities in the drop of consciousness. And thus was born the first living being. And the living cell divided and finally came human beings who extrapolated the universe to the Big Bang.

@question: is my line of thinking correct here? Please foward my question of the creation of the universe to the authors. I really want to know how the universe got created- from its very inception till now.

In my theory of the universe, not only consciousness collapses the potential of thoughts but, thought itself also collapses the potential of thoughts.

    Thanks a lot,
    Vikram

The universe is all about making choices. It is all about collapsing potentiality into actuality. There are infinite potentiality. Infact it is wrong to say infinite. Since they are in potential. Once collapsed, it is either a right choice or a wrong choice. And even if you make a wrong choice, you can collapse more potentiality into the right choice in the future.

We all choose from potentialities in the nonlocal conciousness. And when you choose with good intention, without your ego- everything is possible.

It all depends on self realization (contemplative meditation) – meditation into the self. When you meditate into the self you become aware after years of meditation that you are the universe itself. You become aware that cosmic consciousness is the source of the universe. And cosmic conciousness is nonlocal. Everything is “connected”. Since everything is nothing- only pure consciousness exists. And thus manifestation of architypes such as love for another person becomes easy.

    @question
Time started as soon as the first thought was born in the universe. It didn’t start with the first thought that was born in the universe – it started with the first thought that was born in the universe, that could think about time. Time does not exist. Only thoughts exist.

The universe is nothing but thoughts (awareness, consciousness). In the beginning there were only possibilities of thought. The universal consciousness collapsed a possible thought into an actual thought. That actual thought lead to other thoughts (other animate and inanimate objects).

Since the universe is made up of thoughts. And we are also thoughts – we absolutely effect the universe.

I had asked the question to myself about 13 years back. And I realized that I am the universe. Then I asked, what is the universe? The universe is nothing but thoughts. What are thoughts? Thoughts are nothing but potentiality (they can be converted into an actual thought by a conscious being).

The universal consciousness collapsed the first potential thought into an actual thought.
Once the actual thought was born, it collapsed other potential thoughts into actual thoughts (into animate and inanimate objects).
And thus the universe was born.
And finally came the homo sapient species – who extrapolated the universe to the big bang.

Please let me know if you find any flaw in my flow of thoughts, and correct it.

    Thanks,
    Vikram

There are two routes that can occur (A. or B.)-

    A.
For point 5. above, it is important to note the following:
    5. The actual thought collapsed other potential thoughts into actual thoughts (both animate and inanimate objects)

    Note:
    a. After step 4, when an actual thought goes into possibilities, it goes into a plethora of possibilities.
    b. When we again collapse one of the possibilities into actuality, we still have other possibilities to collapse
    c. As the actual thought develops, so does the possibilities of that thought develop (for the case it goes into possibilities)

This is different than step 4.
    4. The universal consciousness collapsed the potential thoughts into an actual thought

    Here:
    a. The potential thoughts were just collapsed into a single actual thought
    b. We didn’t have more than one collapse – we just had one collapse: just like wave of electrons is collapsed into a single electron

    B.
    a. The universal consciousness collapsed one of the possible thoughts into an actual thought – the rest of the possible thoughts remained in potential
    b. Once the actual thought was born, it had more control on the possible thoughts than the universal consciousness – and collapsing of thoughts depended solely on him
    c. The actual thought had more control on collapsing the thoughts in potential because the universal conscious was now a “weak” collapsing force, as compared to the actual thought

Out of the two routes, route B seems more plausible. Please let me know what do you think?

    Thanks,
    Vikram

    Hi Deepak,

You didn’t answer the question directly “Is there a complete theory of the origin of the universe”. In fact yours is a complete theory.

    1. The universe is nothing but thoughts (awareness, consciousness)
    2. The thoughts are nothing but potential – that come into being and go
    3. Before the universe, we had a potential of thoughts
    4. The universal consciousness collapsed the potential thoughts into an actual thought
    5. The actual thought collapsed other potential thoughts into actual thoughts (both animate and inanimate objects)
    6. The animate objects had thought as their intrinsic property and, their thought kept collapsing the potential thoughts into actuality
    7. This happened until humans came – and humans extrapolated the universe to the big bang

Am I correct in my thinking here?

    Thanks,
    Vikram
